Boost Immunity This Winter – Make These Ginger Turmeric Immunity Shots At Home

This simple to make drink is packed with nutrients to boost immunity, energy and reduce inflammation. It can be made in a few minutes. It can be used as a daily morning drink to support digestion and immunity, or, saved for when you need to support your immune system.

It contains:

🫙Turmeric – reduces inflammation, supports the immune system and is rich in antioxidants to improve cell health
🫚Ginger – fights infection, antimicrobial, antiviral, reduces inflammation, improves digestion
🍋Lemon Juice – high in vitamin C and alkalising which improves immunity, supports liver function and detoxification.
🍎Apple Cider Vinegar – prevent infections, antibacterial, improves gut health and immune function, reduces inflammation
🫒Olive oil – anti inflammatory plus adds fats to better absorb curcumin from turmeric
🧂Black Pepper – anti inflammatory and antioxidant to improve cell health plus increases the effect of the curcumin that is in the turmeric

Ingredients:

  • 250g fresh ginger (I just lightly brush mine to get the dirt/loose skins off)
  • 250g fresh turmeric OR 2-3 tablespoons powdered
  • Juice of 3 lemons
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • (optional – 2 oranges to boost vit C and taste)

PRO TIP

Add blood orange to boost sweetness for those hard to convince family members eg kids or ‘adult kids’.

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Add approximately 1/2 cup water to help blend if required, this will dilute it slightly.
  2. I use it as is, with the ‘pulp’ included. If you prefer, you could pour the juice into a cheese cloth, nutmilk bag or strainer (strainer will be slightly clumpier).

Usage:

✅ Shake before use.

✅ Pour approximately 30ml of juice into glass and top up with a dash of hot/warm water to help digestive fire.

✅ This is best to drink before breakfast and then follow with a nice glass of room temperature water.

✅ Will keep for 7 days in the fridge.
